Sahar Mansour, General Coordinator of the National Breast Cancer Screening Program at Kasr AlAiny School of Medicine, Cairo University, shared on LinkedIn a recent paper by Husam Hosny et al. published in Aesthetic Surgery Journal:
“Comprehensive Duplex Study on the Nipple – Areola Complex: Addressing the Gaps in Vascularity Research
A pioneer research project was conducted as a collaborative effort between the Radiology and Surgery Departments at Kasr AlAiny School of Medicine, Cairo University published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal Open Forum:
‘Duplex Study of the Nipple–Areola Complex Blood Supply in the Female Breast’.
This study highlights the intricate vascular anatomy of the nipple/areola complex and its critical role in reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery.
A special shoutout to the authors for their dedication and expertise, especially the first author, Dr. Husam Hosny, whose vision and leadership were instrumental in bringing this study to life. Also, the remarkable contribution of Dr. Nadeen M El-Essawy, whose dedication and fresh perspective greatly enriched the depth and quality of our work.
This research not only enhances our understanding but also paves the way for safer and more effective surgical techniques.
