Robin Zon: Had an outstanding meeting with Representative Rudy Yakam
Robin Zon, the President-Elect of ASCO, recently shared on LinkedIn:
“Had an outstanding meeting with Representative Rudy Yakam. We discussed physician payment, drug shortages, telemedicine and prior authorization.
In addition, Rep Yakam is working on changing the CBO to a dynamic score. Learned that Rep Dr Burgess also changing CBO to look at 30 not 10 years which holds promise for prevention and early detection related policies.
In my experience it is always a two-way street when visiting:
legislators – share , learn and provide tangible examples of how constituents are affected.
