A New Online Tool is Helping Doctors Better Predict Relapse Risk in Early-Stage Hodgkin Lymphoma
Manchester Cancer Research Centre shared on LinkedIn:
“A new online tool is helping doctors better predict relapse risk in early-stage Hodgkin lymphoma.
Developed by researchers at The University of Manchester, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, and US partners, the E-HIPI calculator is the first of its kind. It uses real patient data – like tumour size, haemoglobin, and albumin levels – to estimate the likelihood of relapse within two years.
It is hoped this new tool can allow doctors to personalise treatment plans, reduce unnecessary side effects, and closely monitor patients at higher risk or relapse.”
