Richard Scolyer: Overcoming Challenges in Recurrent Brain Tumor
Richard Scolyer, Senior Staff Specialist in Tissue Pathology and Diagnostic Oncology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, shared on X:
“It sure is amazing to be back out there participating and enjoying life. A month or so ago, I had some tough times with recurrent brain tumour and additional challenges. These were associated with swelling of my brain which can cause changes in how I am functioning.
However, now I am feeling much better and loving spending time with my wonderful family and friends.”
Richard Scolyer also added:
“When my brain function had dropped a bit in late May, I was so lucky to have an amazing and relaxing holiday in Darwin with Katie and my brother Mark and his partner Anna. It was perfect to have a few days away and take it easy, relax and have some fun. Darwin and the surrounding area is such a beautiful place and we met such lovely warm and friendly people.
I know how fortunate I am to have such an amazing and supportive group of family and friends. Thank you everyone involved in this and many other aspects of my life.”
