Reem Al-Ajlouni: What if Saving Lives Also Saves the Economy?
Reem Al-Ajlouni, Executive Director of Jordan Breast Cancer Program at King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Center, shared on LinkedIn:
“What if saving lives also saves the economy? Most of us don’t think of cancer early detection as a financial strategy, but actually it is.
At the Jordan Breast Cancer Program JBCP, we see every day how early detection not only saves lives, but also reduces the long-term economic burden on communities and health systems.
It’s time to rethink preventive care and early, not as a cost, but as a smart investment and a return.
What if we flipped the model: Invested in prevention and early detection, expanded access and education, and reduced health inequities
