The first ‘PSCC Thursday’ in Villejuif – Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster (PSCC)
Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster (PSCC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Thank you for joining us yesterday for the first ‘PSCC Thursday’ in our new premises in Villejuif!
More than 150 people, both on-site and on-line, attended this conference dedicated to «recent advances and new developments in pancreatic cancer».
We had the immense honor of welcoming five distinguished speakers who shared their insights on this crucial topic:
– Pascal Hammel (MD, PhD) is head of the digestive and medical oncology department at the Paul Brousse Hospital in Villejuif. He is specialized in digestive oncology, with a particular interest in pancreatic tumours.
– Nelson Dusetti is an oncology researcher at the Inserm focused on advancing personalized treatments for pancreatic cancer. As Co-Lead of the Department and Team Lead for Translational and Therapeutic Targets Research of the The Cancer Research Centre of Marseille, he works on developing innovative chemotherapy regimens guided by predictive biomarkers.
– Raphaël Rodriguez is a Research Director at the CNRS and a Principal Investigator at Institut Curie where he holds the Skłodowska-Curie Chair of Chemical Biology
– W. Clay Gustafson is a physician-scientist and clinical oncologist at Revolution Medicines since 2020.
– Mallika Singh has over 20 years of experience in oncology research and drug development, focusing on translational research, biomarker discovery, and therapeutic combinations. Since joining Revolution Medicines in 2017, Mallika has built a world-class Translational Research function, driving the development of RAS-GTP inhibitors for RAS-addicted cancers.
A warm thank you to our renowned experts for discussing their ongoing studies to address unmet needs in pancreatic cancer, aiming to a better understanding of the disease and to improve therapeutic treatment and patient outcomes.
The event’s replay and presentations are available on our website.”
Nelson Dusetti added a comment:
“The Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster (PSCC) plays a key role as a scientific foundation and catalyst, driving the transformation of high-potential innovations into impactful diagnostic and therapeutic solutions to fight cancer.
Many thanks for the invitation. It was a pleasure to present my team’s work and to represent The Cancer Research Centre of Marseille (CRCM) and Institut Paoli-Calmettes.”
