In Chile, a pioneering genetic testing program is helping families uncover inherited Cancer Risks before symptoms strike. By combining telemedicine, gene sequencing, and counselling, this initiative is shifting the focus from expensive treatments to early detection and prevention.
12% of tested patients carried high-risk mutations like BRCA1, TP53, and PALB2, and now their families are being tested, protected, and empowered. Beyond saving lives, the program is building a national genetic data bank to shape the future of cancer care across Latin America.“
