Patrick McGuire is a Cancer Research UK Ambassador, where he leads patient and public involvement (PPI) initiatives, particularly for bowel cancer awareness. His work includes lobbying MPs and raising public awareness to influence legislation for better cancer outcomes.
With years of experience in PPI, he is active in the CRUK Involvement Network, the CRUK Grand Challenges Advocacy Panel, and the NHS Cancer Programme’s Patient and Public Voices Panel. Additionally, McGuire advises research efforts through the Oxford Cancer Research Patient and Public Advisory Group and the Francis Crick Institute’s Patient Advisory Panel.
