Pamela Deasy: How impactful it is to have the patient voice at the forefront of discussions
Pamela Deasy, Patient Advisory Committee, Digestive Cancers Europe, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Digestive Cancers Europe for organising such an outstanding Masterclass in Barcelona.
The sessions were for me, not only informative but also deeply empowering, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to participate.
This Masterclass has highlighted how impactful it is to have the patient voice at the forefront of discussions in Europe, ensuring that the real needs and perspectives of those affected are heard and valued. Bringing the patient voice into decision-making is vital for creating better outcomes and more compassionate care for all cancer patients. Thank you for your dedication to making patient advocacy a priority and for inspiring us to continue this important work.
It was fantastic to meet my fellow PAC team, even though we missed 4 others, I look forward to working with you all over the next 3 years. It was fantastic to catch up with Mila and Patrycja after ENTERO and see what they are both up to with their advocacy. Wishing David congratulations on his new role as Chair of the board at DICE. Looking forward to working with him, and all the great things ahead.”
