Supporting the New Wave of Nurse Leaders through ONLEP as They Grow Their Impact – City Cancer Challenge
City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“What does it take to build lasting change in cancer care?
At C/Can, we believe the answer lies in people – in building the leadership and skills of those delivering care in their own communities.
That’s why we’re proud to have co-developed the Oncology Nursing Leadership Programme (ONLEP) with our trusted partners, ISNCC, the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ghana, and with the support of Amgen.
This programme is more than a training course. It marks a new chapter in strengthening Africa’s cancer care workforce – starting with nurses.
For too long, the role of nurses in oncology has been undervalued, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Yet we know they are key to delivering quality, patient-centred care.
Through ONLEP, 30 nurses from across 7 countries will build leadership and advocacy skills that will allow them not only to improve care for their patients, but to shape cancer policies, strengthen services, and train the next generation.
At C/Can, we’re committed to supporting this new wave of nurse leaders as they grow their impact in their hospitals, in their countries, and across the continent.
