OCRF’s 2025 National Research Grants Program grantees
“Meet OCRF’s 2025 National Research Grants Program grantees!
It’s our 25th Anniversary year, and we are proud to announce our largest-ever funding distribution—over $3.5 million—to accelerate ovarian cancer research.
Eight researchers and their teams across five institutions will receive new grants from OCRF in 2025, including:
- Associate Professor Kylie Gorringe and Dr. Dale Garsed from University of Melbourne and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre
- Associate Professor Simon Chu and Dr. Nicole Campbell from Hudson Institute of Medical Research
- Dr. Emma Bolderson at QUT (Queensland University of Technology)
- Professor Michael Jennings of Griffith University
- Two collaborative projects with Australian Cancer Research Foundation
Ovarian cancer is particularly complex and has a variety of rare subtypes. OCRF is committed to ensuring research includes rarer subtypes such as mucinous ovarian cancer, clear cell carcinoma, and adult granulosa cell tumors. This year’s grants also support research into better treatment and detection pathways for high-grade serous ovarian cancer, the most common subtype.
Since 2000, OCRF has distributed $30 million across more than 60 ovarian cancer research projects. This reflects the foundation’s growing impact and the passion of the ovarian cancer community as we accelerate progress and move toward improved outcomes for this disease—together.”
