“Turning the Status Quo Upside Down.
Today is World Cancer Day, and while awareness has grown, the burden of cancer is growing even faster. More people are being diagnosed, yet healthcare systems are more strained than ever. And if the Global Health space is currently upside down too, we can’t let patients down.
I’m honored to be joining the Women in Healthcare Leadership podcast by Medscape Education, alongside Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) President Elect a leading advocate in global cancer and women health care. We’ll be discussing the urgent need to improve prevention, screening, and early detection of female cancers in our countries – because the challenges we face might surprise you.
