“Where is the hype for National Cancer Survivors Month?
June is recognized as National Cancer Survivors Month across many countries, with the first Sunday of June celebrated as National Cancer Survivors Day.
In this video, I talk about the obvious and hidden financial costs of cancer care in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
From diagnosis to treatment to recovery, the financial burden is often just as overwhelming as the disease itself.
I also want to use this moment to celebrate survivors — those who fought, those still fighting, and those supporting them behind the scenes.
