Dr. Miriam Mutebi is an active presence on X/Twitter and LinkedIn, where she shares her work as a Breast Surgical Oncologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. Her roles include Vice-President of East Africa for the African Organization for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC), past president of the Kenya Society of Hematology and Oncology (KESHO), and a board member of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). She also co-founded the Pan African Women’s Association of Surgeons and is involved with the Kenya Association of Women Surgeons.

She serves as the Vice-President of East Africa for AORTIC, has been the past president of KESHO, and is on the Board of Directors for UICC. As a co-founder of the Pan African Women’s Association of Surgeons and a member of the Kenya Association of Women Surgeons, she passionately supports women’s education and mentorship in surgery. She is also pursuing a pilot’s license to extend breast care services to marginalized communities.
