“You can ‘beat’ cancer—AND still lose everything else.
Globally, millions of cancer patients face catastrophic medical costs, lost income, and financial freefall. Even in countries with healthcare systems.
Completely and utterly frightening combination of everything unimaginable. I have no personal experience and so I have no real grasp of the scale to the individual.
But that doesn’t excuse me from not listening to and trying to highlight this inexcusable additional pressure that people face.
