Let’s talk about migration, cancer, and young people. I’m happy to invite you to the last and very special webinar of our EDI series.
As many of you know, I was diagnosed with cancer at a young age, and since then I’ve lived in 7 different countries around the world. This experience shaped my voice as an advocate for migrants and other underserved communities. I felt the system wasn’t made for people like us, and now we know from science and stories that migrants often face late diagnoses, worse outcomes, and a lack of understanding during cancer care.
Next week, we will talk about this important but often forgotten topic: how moving between countries can affect your cancer journey before, during, and after treatment.
