Mieke Van Hemelrijck: We Had The Pleasure of Leading a Collaborative Session With The CRUK DCS at UKOF25
Mieke Van Hemelrijck, Professor of Cancer Epidemiology at King’s College London, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Transforming cancer OUtcomes through Research and Cancer Research UK Data Community Support Unit (DCSU) – Driving Strategic Innovation in Data Sharing and OMOP Implementation
Today, we had the pleasure of leading a collaborative session with the Cancer Research UK (CRUK) DCS) at UKOF25 in Harrogate, focused on developing a strategy for the implementation of OMOP common data model and advancing data sharing capabilities.
As part of the session, we conducted a SWOT analysis to explore the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats around these critical initiatives. The insights and perspectives shared by attendees were incredibly valuable and will directly shape the strategic roadmap we’re building together.
A huge thank you to all who contributed to the session – your engagement and expertise are helping lay the foundation for a more connected, efficient, and impactful research environment.
Thank you to Sharon Poole for organising this with us!
Stay tuned for future updates as we continue to co-develop a robust CRUK strategy for OMOP implementation and responsible, scalable data sharing.”
