Michael Sapienza: Meeting with Leaders from The White House Office of Management and Budget
Michael Sapienza, Chief Executive Officer of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today, I had the opportunity to meet with leaders from The White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to discuss the importance of robust federal investment in cancer research and prevention.
Colorectal cancer remains the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. with incidence rapidly rising in younger adults. With efficient federal funding for scientific research, public health campaigns, and screening programs, we can save lives.
These conversations are critical as we work to build a future where fewer families are impacted by colorectal cancer. I’m proud to represent the Colorectal Cancer Alliance in advocating for policies that move us closer to our mission of a world without colorectal cancer.”
