Megan-Claire Chase: Moments where my words resonate with others outside fuels me with hope for health equity
Megan-Claire Chase, Breast Cancer Program Director at SHARE Cancer Support, shared a post by OncoDaily on LinkedIn, adding:
“Though I’m on PTO this week, I simply had to come on for a few minutes to thank OncoDaily for elevating my voice and experiences as a Black cancer survivor, patient advocate, and professional.
Speaking up in spaces where I am often the only one who looks like me or one of a few is hard, exhausting, and sometimes soul-crushing.
Then moments like this happen where my words resonate with others outside of the marginalized community and it fuels me with hope that one day we will shove the needle forward for health equity.”
