This month, we raise our voices for Bone Cancer – Medicaid Cancer Foundation
Medicaid Cancer Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“This month, we raise our voices for Bone Cancer; a rare but serious disease.
Though uncommon, bone cancer can affect people of all ages, especially children, teenagers, and young adults. Early detection saves lives, so it’s important to know the warning signs.
What to look out for:
- Persistent bone pain (especially at night)
- Swelling or a lump in a bone area
- Frequent fractures or bone weakness
- Fatigue and unexplained weight loss
There are different types of bone cancer, such as osteosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, and chondrosarcoma. Diagnosis usually involves scans and a biopsy, followed by treatments like surgery, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy.
At Medicaid Cancer Foundation, we stand with those affected and advocate for increased awareness, early screening, and better access to care. Help us spread the word—bone cancer is rare, but real.”
