Medicaid Cancer Foundation shared on LinkedIn:
“Medicaid Cancer Foundation Q1 (January-March) Newsletter!
This quarter has been filled with incredible strides toward a healthier, cancer-free future – and we’re proud to share our journey with you!
Here are some highlights:
School Advocacy Program
- Stem Child Care Academy, Abuja
- Government Secondary School Karu
- Government Secondary School Garki
- Model Junior Secondary School, Maitama, Abuja
We engaged over 1,000 young minds with vital cancer awareness education, empowering the next generation with knowledge on healthy living and early detection.
Capacity Building with Deborah Multi-Specialist Hospital
- Through a two-day virtual training, we equipped healthcare professionals with tools for sustainable funding and strategies to enhance hospital visibility — ultimately improving patient access to quality cancer care.
Increased Access to HPV Vaccines and Testing
- To encourage proactive healthcare, we offered:
- 10% discount on Cervarix vaccine
- 5% discount on Gardasil 4 and Gardasil 9 vaccines
- 40% discount on HPV testing for one week
- We’re thrilled that over 15 individuals took advantage of these initiatives — a step closer to a future without cervical cancer!
Patient Access and Care Support Initiatives
- Through programs like Care Wheels and the launch of our Charity Corner online platform, we continue to break barriers and bring cancer care closer to those who need it most.
World Cancer Day Activities – ‘800 Voices United’
- In celebration of World Cancer Day, we reached out to 800 amazing girls at Regina Pacis School and other communities, spreading vital cancer education and inspiring hope.
And so much more!
At MCF, every outreach, training, and campaign is a testament to our belief: early education, access, and empowerment can change the story of cancer in our communities.
Thank you to our partners, volunteers, and supporters – we couldn’t do this without you!”
