Marina Charalambous: The first clinical speech therapy placement by the final-year SLT students of the Cyprus University of Technology

“Today we completed the first clinical speech therapy placement at the German Oncology Center.
The final-year SLT students of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences of the Cyprus University of Technology had the opportunity to evaluate and provide Speech Therapy sessions to patients with feeding and swallowing disorders, speech and language disorders after total or partial laryngectomy, glossectomy, maxillectomy, brain tumor, etc.
We thank all the Medical and Paramedical staff, the Management and specifically Professor Constantinos Zamboglou, MHBA and Andreas Kazamias for the excellent cooperation and support in this first effort. We will return next semester, as part of the Practicum, for 5 consecutive months.”
