Margaret Fitch Will Be Keynote Speaker at ONS- Nigeria Upcoming Conference
Oncology Nursing Society of Nigeria (ONS- Nigeria) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We are thrilled to announce that Professor Margaret Fitch, RN PhD, will be the keynote speaker at our upcoming conference, taking place December 16–18 at Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Professor Fitch is a renowned leader in oncology nursing and psychosocial oncology. With over two decades of experience at the Odette Cancer Centre in Toronto, she has held key roles including Head of Oncology Nursing, Head of Psychosocial Oncology, and Co-Director of the Psychosocial and Behavioural Oncology Research Unit.
Her research has centered on how patients, survivors, and families cope and adapt across the cancer journey, with a strong commitment to patient and stakeholder engagement. She currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Oncology Nursing Journal and sits on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology.
In addition to her role as Adjunct Professor at the Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto, she contributes internationally as an honorary lecturer at the University of Rwanda and the University of Nairobi.
We are honoured to have Professor Fitch join us as our keynote speaker—her leadership, advocacy, and depth of experience will undoubtedly inspire and enrich our event.”
