“Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Growth and Milestones
2024 has been a year of transformation, achievement, and cherished moments. Some of the highlights include:
- Harvard Graduation: Successfully completed my postgraduate Global Clinical Scholars Research Training (GCSRT) at Harvard Medical School, graduating with commendations for my proposed research project. It was a proud moment to achieve this milestone, and I’m excited to share some photos from the ceremony.
- Research Contributions: Made significant progress in my work at the intersection of immuno-oncology research and clinical applications, earning recognition as a key contributor and further motivating me to improve cancer treatment outcomes.
- Connections: Met incredible people—from colleagues to peers in the GCSRT program—who have inspired and strengthened me both professionally and personally.
Personal Milestones:
- Returned to Armenia after living and working in France and the USA, reconnecting with my roots and continuing my work in research and innovation.
- Married the love of my life Nerses Ghahramanyan, who is my constant inspiration, and we adopted our first dog, who fills our lives with joy.
- Celebrated a personal milestone: turning 30, a moment of reflection on my journey and accomplishments so far.
Reflecting on 30 Years of Life and 10 Years of Career.
From growing up in a small village in Armenia to excelling academically as a top student in school and medical university, my journey has been fueled by a deep passion for oncology.
I trained as a pediatric hematologist-oncologist, gaining hands-on experience in caring for children with cancer, and completed a Master’s in Public Health at the American University of Armenia, where I published research that shed light on pediatric cancer in the region.
My postdoctoral work at the WHO’s Cancer Research Agency (IARC) focused on pediatric cancer and fostering global data-sharing collaborations.
Over the past two years, I have dedicated myself to advancing immuno-oncology research, bridging innovation, and clinical applications to deliver better outcomes for cancer patients worldwide.
As I enter 2025, I carry forward the lessons, achievements, and hopes from this incredible year.
Wishing everyone a happy, peaceful, and successful year ahead. Together, let’s make it meaningful and brighter for all!”
