“Following on from our post last week on World Cancer Day, we will this week share the five videos in the educational series on cancer biomarker testing developed by Thermo Fisher Scientific.
The first one is entitled ‘Biomarker testing how it can guide your cancer journey’.
In the video series, a journalist interviews a medical oncologist to explore the connection between mutations and cancer. Learn how identifying these mutations, known as biomarkers, can guide personalised treatment decisions.
Together, they break down what cancer is, explore the different types of mutations in cancer, explain the difference between hereditary and sporadic cancers and discuss how biomarker testing is transforming the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
The series is designed to help patients and caregivers understand biomarker testing and is endorsed by Lung Cancer Europe.”
