Leora Horn, SVP, Late Development Oncology at AstraZeneca, shared on LinkedIn:
“I am thrilled to accept the role of Senior Vice President, Late Development Oncology at AstraZeneca. Since joining the organization nearly five years ago, I’ve had the honor of holding multiple roles where I was able to co-lead our lung tumor council (establishing end-to-end strategy for lung cancer), helped to improve outcomes for people living with all stages of disease, as well as establishing the head and neck tumor council in addition to working across multiple assets that have offered new therapeutic options for patients.
As I look to the future of our pipeline and portfolio, I am energized by the opportunity in front of us at AstraZeneca. With more than 50 global indications approved across solid tumors, and 30+ active clinical trials in stage II or III, we are continuing to make progress against our bold ambition of one day eliminating cancer as a cause of death, and I am proud to be able to continue to have a role in these efforts.
With the incredible team of dedicated individuals we have throughout the late development oncology organization, and a diverse pipeline spanning multiple modalities, I am highly confident in our ability to continue to innovate on behalf of patients.
I’d like to thank everyone who has helped to teach and guide me along my journey at AstraZeneca, and I look forward to the opportunities ahead as we all continue to follow the science, develop and deliver potentially life-changing treatments for people around the world.”
