Mala Shanmugam, Associate Professor in the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Winship Cancer Institute, Emory University School of Medicine, shared a post on X:
“A legend has passed. Will miss my mentor Doctor Veerappan Muthukkaruppan who was so instrumental in developing my interest in research. He is authored the Science paper describing the angiogenesis assay (PMID 472760).
