“The preliminary results from the first 2 thousand patients enrolled in the Tube-WISP II study were presented at SGO 2025. No interval carcinomas were observed during the short F/U.
Have you considered the indication of prophylactic salpingectomy + delayed oophorectomy in clinical practice?
- Significant majority (80%) of respondents consider this procedure only in clinical trials, highlighting the ongoing exploration of its clinical applicability.
- A smaller portion of participants (20%) answered “No,” indicating they do not currently consider this approach in practice.
- Interestingly, none of the respondents (0%) believe this intervention is already a standard procedure in clinical practice. These findings suggest that while the procedure is under investigation and may hold potential, it has not yet gained widespread acceptance or implementation outside clinical trials.”
