Lazar Popovic: Proud of Our Team’s Impact at REKONIO Regional Oncology Congress
Lazar Popovic, Professor of Oncology at the University of Novi Sad, posted on LinkedIn:
“At the Regional Congress of Internal Medicine Oncology (REKONIO), which was completed today, which was attended by the largest oncology centers from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia, our team from the Institute of Oncology of Vojvodina had a very notable participation. We had a total of 7 works accepted. With one work, we won the award for the best paper, which had the importance of mammaprint testing in the treatment of early breast cancer and which we did together with Ana Cvetanovic from the University Medical Center Niš. The second paper was selected for oral presentation (three papers in total per session) presented by Maja Popovic had as its theme the treatment of kidney cancer. Also, in the plenary part, I had the honor of leading a session on urological tumors and giving a lecture on bladder cancer.
I am proud that we are one of the most active teams in the region and I congratulate Maja Popovic, Gorana Matovina Brko, Nemanja Maletin, Stefan Djuric, Stela Novak, Teodora Urošević who participated in this success.
I would also like to congratulate Nikola Milasevic, Sanja Lekić, Nevenka Lukovac Janjić and all colleagues from Montenegro on the excellent organization of the congress.”
