Kimryn Rathmell: The Frontier of Oncology is Partnership
Kimryn Rathmell, Chief Executive Officer of the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“It was such an honor to share the stage with John Warner and Joe Apgar at RTRX and a thrill to be in a room with so many innovative and dedicated thinkers and doers.
Ending Cancer will take solving the many complex challenges people still face with this disease and our science needs to tap into ideas from everywhere. It’s so important that we get people with passion and fresh perspectives connected to find solutions and push the boundaries of scientific possibility.
The frontier of oncology is partnership. RTRX is clearly such a great venue to spark these connections and collaborations, especially among academic research, philanthropy and the business world.
Walking in, I could immediately feel the power of Pelotonia to bring people together and build this incredible community that is committed to a cancer-free world.
I relished the opportunity to speak about how the community is the differentiator for our cancer program and how it empowers the extraordinary talent and cutting-edge work of Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
Having such an engaged and active community is a big reason why, right here in Ohio, we can shape the future of cancer research and care for everyone facing this disease – in Ohio and beyond.”
