Kenji López-Cuevas, Treasurer at Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Today, Friday, we close the work week with a high-level meeting with our ally the Secretary of Health of the State of Mexico, Dr. Macarena Montoya Olvera and her extraordinary work team. We share our action plan for the second half of 2025 and the start of 2026, with a focus on strengthening health prevention in this state, accompanying the efforts of the Governor, Delfina Gómez Alvarez.
Together, we will give way to medical care days, sporting events and educational congresses, led by this Secretariat, with the firm objective of promoting prevention and self-care in the population of Mexico.
At the meeting, which I highlight as highly productive, we coordinated the next strategic collaboration, in particular to strengthen comprehensive cancer care in the State of Mexico.
For his part, our National Coordinator of Public Affairs, Sebastian Garcia Procel, clearly presented the initiatives, programs and results that our Foundation has consolidated during its first eight years of uninterrupted work.
We are especially grateful to our friend Joshimar Félix Velasco Jara, Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. Francisco Cerrillo Gutiérrez, Assistant Director of Healthcare, for their openness, commitment, and leadership.
And let’s go for more! Mexico’s health is a cause that is built with alliances, vision and constant work.”
