Jose Garcia: Pre Webinar Interview with Douglas Flora on Where Community Oncology Stands with AI at the Moment
Jose Garcia, Content Lead at Talk Coded, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Many thanks to Douglas Flora for taking the time for a pre webinar interview about where community oncology stands with AI at the moment.
Interviewing the speakers and engaging with the clip audience pre event (thank you ZEYNEP BİRSU ÇİNÇİN) really helps me dial in the content and deliver a high quality event.
Dr Flora painted me a good picture of where community oncologists are at with AI (more clips coming) and I found it very instructive. Curation of content was a big theme in the interview. Something Dr Flora is playing an active hand in with “AI in Precision Oncology” a new journal.
You can access it here.
Curating of content is key to where we are at. There’s too much of it. While there are orgs like Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with sophisticated and well resourced AI governance teams and full stack clinical informatics pros curating their AI tooling options, most clinicians don’t work in orgs like that and are in “Choose Your Own Adventure Mode“.
That means an investment on both sides. Clinicians are taking time to educate themselves. And solutions providers need to step up, not just selling their products but putting it in a broader context, educating their potential users so they can make discerning choices.
I’m glad to have a client that is investing in educational webinar and video content to meet oncologists where they are at. I’ll be co-hosting “AI, Oncology and Trust: Humans First” alongside Oncoscope-AI founder Anna Forsythe on the 2nd of August.
Speaking at the event will be Douglas Flora (featured), Stefan Glück, Jacob Mathew, MD and Saurin Chokshi MD. You can join the 573 people already registered here.”
