“Stage Zero Doesn’t Mean Zero Challenges
When I was diagnosed with DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma in Situ), I was told it was “early” and “highly treatable.”
But even with a favorable prognosis, the experience was anything but easy.
It disrupted my peace of mind, demanded complex decisions, and left me emotionally and physically drained.
I wrote about the real impact of a Stage Zero diagnosis – and the gap between how it’s often described and how it actually feels to live through it.
