“Dealing with cancer doesn’t end when our active treatment finishes. The weight felt heavier when I wasn’t busy scheduling appointments or dealing with the procedures. It was an emotional weight and one that took time to deal with. In the closing chapters of ‘A Breast Cancer Journey: Living it One Step at a Time,’ I write about what it was like for me in hopes that it can encourage you as you walk through your recovery. It looks different for all of us, and yet none of us exit cancer untouched by its impacts.”
