James P. Crowley is a Professor of Medicine Emeritus at Brown University and serves as a volunteer physician at the Rhode Island Free Clinic. He has held leadership positions in the medical community, including past President of the Rhode Island Medical Society and the last President of The Providence Medical Association.
David Gordon Nathan is a pediatrician and hematologist, now retired. He previously served as the Robert A. Stranahan Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and as President of the Dana–Farber Cancer Institute.
Dr. Nathan is widely recognized for his contributions to pediatric hematology and for co-authoring Nathan and Oski’s Hematology of Infancy and Childhood, a foundational text in the field.
