Isabelle Villadary: My Child Matters Program has supported over 140,000 children globally
Isabelle Villadary, Head of the Childhood Cancer Program at Foundation S, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“I was honored to speak at the same event than Léo Messi and Richard Gere!
It was last Saturday at the Second Global OncoThon hosted by OncoDaily and SIOP for International Childhood Cancer Day.
Sharing the impact of My Child Matters Program is always a source of pride and celebrating our 20th anniversary makes our progress even more significant.
Since 2005, MCM has transformed pediatric cancer care in low- and middle-income countries, supporting over 140,000 children globally.
Our impact spans multiple initiatives, and this year is no different. We received 70 applications in response to our latest My Child Matters call for proposals, which are currently being reviewed by our Expert Committee.
Just this weekend, we launched our Home Away from Home initiative for a second year with Childhood Cancer International, helping CCI member organizations provide a second home for patients and their caregivers close to health services.
While this weekend marked a key day in our calendar, I am inspired every day by the resilience of children and their families and deeply grateful to everyone who supports our mission.
Here’s to a future where a child’s survival is not determined by where they are born.”
