Ibrahim Halil Sahin, Assistant Professor at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, shared on X about recent paper by et al., titled “Opportunities and Challenges in Antibody–Drug Conjugates for Cancer Therapy: A New Era for Cancer Treatment” published on MDPI.
Authors: Idil Buyukgolcigezli, Ates Kutay Tenekeci, and Ibrahim Halil Sahin
“I always felt mentoring is sacred work and it is a true privilege!
One of greatest part of mentoring is that sometimes you come across and discover geniuses.
İdil is 3rd year medical student from Turkey and when she said she wanted to write review article on ADCs, I was pleasantly surprised and agreed on working with her.
Well, when I read the manuscript, I was even more surprised with her unusual ability to deeply absorb and analyze the literature on a very specific subject and synthesize into a very meaningful essay like she was doing this for decades. I was truly shocked with her depth of knowledge which was way above her level.
Now that manuscript is published in Cancers and I am still genuinely impressed with her intelligence and talent.”
