Cynthia Jordan: ‘Hello Beautiful’ is about changing the narrative of breast cancer
Cynthia Jordan, Founder and CEO at Learn Look Locate, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“There is something unspoken, something deeply special, about the bond you create with a breast cancer survivor. It’s instant, it’s real, and it never fades.
Even after six years… or twelve years… showing up for each other never stops being important.
Supporting breast cancer advocacy is beautiful, but let’s be honest – it can take its toll. What keeps us going is not just the mission – it’s the people. The shared strength, the recognition in each other’s eyes, and the unwavering support we give and receive in moments like these.
This past week, traveling to the Beverly Hills Film Festival and standing alongside Christine Handy, the incredible ambassador for Learn Look Locate, reminded me of this truth so deeply.
When Hello Beautiful won Best Film, it wasn’t just about a movie. It was about every single effort being made around the world to change the narrative of breast cancer – through education, awareness, books, films, conversations, and tireless advocacy.
I captured this moment with Christine because it truly embodies what it means to stand by someone through it all. It’s not the things, it’s the people. It’s the beautiful souls who walk beside us on this difficult, but powerful path of survivorship.
I also want to take a moment to personally thank Dr. Allison DiPasquale for being there – your presence meant so much, and your dedication to helping us educate and empower continues to inspire.
To everyone here who is tirelessly advocating, raising awareness, and supporting one another – I see you.
And as part of my mission with Learn Look Locate, I will continue to celebrate all of you, all the organizations, and all the survivors worldwide who are turning their pain into purpose.
This moment, this milestone, this week – I will cherish it forever.
Let’s keep going. Together.”
