Heitham Hassoun: All great hospitals are so much more than places to heal
Heitham Hassoun, Chief Executive, International at Cedars-Sinai, shared a post on LinkedIn by Cedars-Sinai, adding:
“What a beautiful and heart-warming story! My whole life, I’ve been in awe of great hospitals that anchored my hometown communities.
From where I was born at Emmanuel hospital in Portland, OR, to where I grew up in Aramco Hospital in Dhaharan, Saudi Arabia, to where I studied and practiced medicine at Houston Methodist, to Johns Hopkins Hospital, to now Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles.
From cradle to grave, all these great hospitals are so much more than places to heal…they are essential social and business centers for great communities around the world.”
Quoting Cedars-Sinai’s post:
“Nearly 100 years after her great-grandmother opened a gift shop at what was then known as Cedars of Lebanon, Sarah Wallock found herself here fighting for her life. The care that saved her? Made possible by her own family’s legacy.”
