Thank you to all the speakers who brought fresh perspectives to such an important topic on the final day of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology – SIOP in partnership with Childhood Cancer International Conference: ‘Empowering Patients and Families at the Hospital – Addressing Abandonment.’ While I’ve gained valuable insights, there’s still so much more to understand as we continue to enhance our support for families navigating childhood cancer.”
Hedley Lewis is a Board Member at Childhood Cancer International, Chairman of the Childhood Cancer International – Africa Committee, and CEO of CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA. He leads a team that works closely with hospital administrators, medical professionals, volunteers, donors, NGOs, and staff to offer extensive support to childhood cancer patients and their families.
