Hadi Mohamad Abu Rasheed: Appreciation to Every Nurse Who Stands Alongside People Living with Cancer
Hadi Mohamad Abu Rasheed, Scientific Advisor at the Qatar Cancer Society and Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Doha for Science and Technology, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“On this International Nurses Day, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to every nurse who stands alongside people living with cancer – offering not only clinical care, but comfort, dignity, and hope. In cancer care, nurses are so much more than providers – they are educators, advocates, and lifelines. From the moment of diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, or end-of-life care, they are the steady hands and compassionate hearts that ensure quality, continuity, and humanity in the patient journey.
This year’s theme, ‘Our Nurses. Our Future.’, resonates deeply. The future of equitable, person-centered cancer care depends on how we recognize, empower, and support our nursing workforce. Their role is central in delivering care that is not only effective but deeply human. To all oncology nurses and those caring for people with cancer – thank you. Your presence empowers healing, uplifts lives, and reminds us that at the heart of quality care is a caring heart. You are the heartbeat of cancer care. You are the hope that carries us forward.”
