GIST Awareness Day – The Max Foundation

“Today is GIST Awareness Day — a moment to honor the strength of patients who live with gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST).
In 2024, we proudly supported 3,610 GIST patients across the globe.
- 38.5% have been on treatment for 5+ years
- 13.7% have been on treatment for 10+ years
- And for the first time, we reached Cambodia and Côte d’Ivoire with life-extending GIST treatment
These milestones are more than numbers—they’re stories of resilience and hope.
