Genomic Testing Delays Are Costing Lives – Lung Cancer Europe
Lung Cancer Europe shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Genomic testing delays are costing lives.
A recent article from Professor Robert Rintoul in Hospital Healthcare Europe picks up the findings of a UK report (from UK Lung Cancer Coalition) but what it highlights applies across Europe.
Too many people with lung cancer still face long waits or don’t get tested at all. That means lost chances for targeted treatment or clinical trials.
The challenges may differ country to country — but the impact is the same.
We need European-level focus, investment and urgency to make timely genomic testing a reality for everyone.”
