Fumiko Ladd Chino Reflects on Resilience Through Patient’s Gift
Fumiko Ladd Chino, Radiation Oncologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared a post on X:
“One of my patients gave me this ginger plant.
It is from a bunch of bulbs she hand carried from Thailand >20 years ago.
Uprooted and forced to establish new support structures, through time, distance, multiple moves… it’s blooming!
That’s gotta be a metaphor for something…”
Fumiko Ladd Chino reflected on a gifted ginger plant that symbolized resilience and adaptability. The plant’s journey from Thailand to blooming after decades of movement and change served as a metaphor for enduring strength.
