Freddy E Escorcia: Departure from NCI After Nearly Nine Years
Freddy E Escorcia, Lasker Clinical Scholar and Radiation Oncologist at National Cancer Institute, shared a post on X:
“Some news: At the end of the month, I will be leaving the NCI after nearly 9 years…
I am profoundly grateful to the folks at the NCI took the chance on me and offered me the opportunity to launch and grow my lab designing, synthesizing and testing radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and treatment of cancer.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to recruit talented, hardworking trainees and scientists to join the cause. It’s because of them that we’ve had the success that we’ve had.
My clinical colleagues are among the most dedicated professionals out there, and I’ve been lucky to learn from all of them. My patients have been imprinted on me and I’ll continue to feel the privilege of having offered some comfort during their most of vulnerable times.
As all good things must come to an end, so too does this…
We still have several manuscripts brewing, so please be on the look out!
Will share details on the next adventure shortly!”
