For the Fitzgerald siblings, inspiration is personal – their brother, Matthew – St. Baldrick’s Foundation
St. Baldrick’s Foundation shared on LinkedIn:
“For the Fitzgerald siblings, inspiration is personal – their brother, Matthew.
At just 2 years old, Matthew was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia after a persistent cough and constantly getting sick led to a hospital stay. Four years of treatment followed, but thanks to advances in pediatric cancer research, he finished chemotherapy before turning 6 and remains cancer-free today.
Since 2017, Matthew, along with his siblings Scotty and Kelsey, has been giving back. Through the Franklin Park Fire Department Event, they have raised over $14,000 to fund lifesaving research.
‘We will always be grateful for the lifesaving treatments that are now available to children like me,’ says Matthew. ‘So much because of the generosity of all of you who contribute to fundraising events such as St. Baldricks.’
Join them in making an impact for kids fighting.”
