“The Colorectal Cancer Care Initiative (CRCCI) Report is a national effort to close gaps in colorectal cancer care. Created in partnership with patients, caregivers, providers, and industry leaders, it uses real-world data to set clear, actionable goals for better screening, diagnosis, and treatment.
Drs. Folasade (Fola) May, David Lieberman, and John Inadomi sat down with STAT Brand Studio to discuss the report’s findings – and the outcomes we need to work toward.
One key takeaway? Patient providers need to talk about screening sooner. The recommended screening age is 45, but conversations should start at 40 – giving patients time to prepare and know what to watch for.”
