“ESMO welcomes the publication of the European Commission Work Programme for 2025, particularly the evaluation of EU rules on medical devices and in vitro diagnostics. However, the absence of proposals on Tobacco Control is regrettable.
Urgent action is needed to align with Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan to create a ‘Tobacco Free Generation’ by 2040.
