Ellen Heitzer is a leading Austrian scientist in the field of liquid biopsies, with a focus on personalized cancer medicine. She heads the Research Unit for Liquid Biopsies in Personalized Medicine at the University of Graz, where she has made significant strides in developing early cancer detection methods. In 2017, she was awarded the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Liquid Biopsies, which focuses on advancing early detection of cancer through innovative techniques.
