The latest issue of Elephants and Tea, One Herd
Elephants and Tea shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We’re thrilled to announce the latest issue of Elephants and Tea, One Herd – our two-year initiative to address health disparities in the AYA cancer community.
Too often, biases based on race, age, gender, sexual orientation, and other factors affect access to care. But today, we’re amplifying the voices of those who have lived these experiences and sharing powerful stories of courage, resilience, and advocacy.
In this issue, hear from individuals who’ve faced these biases and more. Plus, check out results from our community survey that helped shape this project.
A huge thank you to all the authors, our sponsors (Eisai, Genentech, and Pfizer), and our advisory team for their dedication to this cause.
Let’s continue to uplift one another – because we are One Herd.
Read the full issue now and join the conversation.”
Tricia Hernandez, Director of Community Engagement at The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, shared this post, adding:
“Cancer is hard enough, but the experience is more complex for so many who identify as a person of color, queer, neurodivergent and more. I was honored to share my story in this special issue.”
